Robert Baker Leads The Team At Berkley Manor
For over 30 years, Berkley Manor Care Canter has been providing skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for Cherry Creek Valley residents. Whether they are taking care of residents recovering from surgery or facing more serious, long-term illness or helping friends and loved one return home and regain their independence, Berkley Manor strives to provide the best in clinical and rehabilitation care. Leading the team is Robert Baker who was appointed as Executive Director in November 2012.
“Robert brings dedication and love to the elderly,” says Beth Williams, vice president of Life Care Centers of America’s Rocky Mountain Region, which oversees eight facilities in the Denver area. “He is focused on providing the best quality of care and quality of life to all he comes in contact with.”
Prior to Berkley Manor Care Center, Baker served as administrator in training at Life Care Center of Greeley, Colorado and before that he worked at Learning Services Neurobehavioral Institute in Lakewood. Originally from Glendale, Arizona, Baker earned his master’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources Management. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. He and his wife Crystal recently moved to the Denver area from Greeley.
“The patient and family experience is what sets Berkley Manor Care Center apart from other facilities,’” Baker explains. “We make providing first-class service a daily focus in everything we do for our patients, residents and their families.”
He continues, “Whether a patient is here for a short-term rehabilitation stay, hospice care, post-operative recovery or long-term care, we make it a priority to ensure the same level of care and service is delivered to all individuals who enter our building.”
Offering a client-focused, family-like environment that houses 38 skilled rehabilitation beds and 12 private transition suites, Berkley Manor’s therapy and nursing team is dedicated to helping residents get back on track and enjoying their lives.
on to helping Valley residents, Baker says that community involvement is very important to the Berkley Manor team.
“The greatest benefit the Chamber has provided is the opportunity to network,” he says. “This has provided, and continues to provide, valuable exposure to business leaders and influential figures in our local market. In addition, the Glendale Chamber has deep roots with the Denver, Arvada and Aurora Chambers, among others.”
Baker continues, “What I enjoy most about being a Chamber member are the after-hours networking events. I also love all of the opportunities they grant for me to stand before community members and tell them about the great company I work for and to share personal testimonies from individuals we have had the opportunity to care for.”
