Bill Carson Interior Painting Specialists is a locally-owned business that has been providing interior painting services since 2010. wn for. He also taught himself the business side of things. When Carson first started, he was a substitute teacher and would do summer jobs and side jobs to get his feet wet.

Carson can paint the inside of an entire home or just one room. They can do the rooms in phases, which as he says, helps with the budget and the chaos. He has five painters and they can all come in and paint and be efficient by accomplishing a lot in a short period of time. They do two coats of paint where many painters only do one. They will even do a third coat if needed. Carson will also come back for touch ups a few weeks after they finished if the homeowner requests. “I want to develop long-term relationships,” said Carson. “I have been doing this for over 14 years and I have long-term and repeat clients. I rely on referrals and neighborhood websites like Nextdoor to recommend us.”

One example of a job that Carson recently did is updating a banister inside someone’s home. This is a multi-step process with lots of preparation. They took the stained banister and sanded the stain, then vacuumed and dusted, applied a primer coat, and finally applied two to three coats of specialty paint for extra durability and easy cleaning for little handprints. They put up a dust barrier to keep the sanded dust out of the rest of the house.
