The Bardstown Bourbon Company is a New Blend of Bourbon Makers pushing the boundaries through innovation, while honoring the traditional art of making whiskey. Although this is their seventh year of production, the Bardstown brand is only four years old. The original purpose was to produce whiskeys for companies who could not keep up with demand.

Bardstown is one of the first Napa-Valley style destinations on the Kentucky Bourbon Trail to combine distilling, culinary, and beverage expertise to create a modern, authentic, bourbon experience. At the on-site restaurant, Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar, visitors enjoy comfort food, exceptional salads, and farm fresh meats and cheeses. The bar offers a creative cocktail program, whiskey and vintage spirits library, curated wine collection, and a selection of local draft beers. Bottle & Bond is the perfect foundation for a memorable afternoon or evening.

They operate one of the most sophisticated distilleries in the country, with a focus on transparency — all open spaces and clear glass — putting the science and craft of whiskey-making front and center for all to see. A trip to Kentucky is definitely recommended if you are a fan of whiskey. This $25 million facility broke ground in 2015.

Set on 100 acres of active farmland in the heart of the Bourbon Capital of the World, Bardstown produces the highest-quality, authentic Kentucky Bourbon, whiskey, and rye brands, as well as offering custom whiskey production through their one-of-a-kind Collaborative Distilling Program.

Their Collaborative Distilling Program brings together some of the most experienced distillers in the industry under one roof. This completely unique and inclusive process allows customers to create alongside and drives education, innovation, and experimentation. They produce nearly 40 unique mash bills for some of the finest whiskey and bourbon brands, including Jefferson’s, High West, Belle Meade, Hirsch, Calumet, James E. Pepper, Cyrus Noble, and many others, lead by three masters and a first-class team of operators, using some of the most sophisticated technology in distilling.

Steve Nally, an esteemed master distiller who has been in the industry for over four decades is Bardtown’s master distiller. He has helped build up what has quickly become a cornerstone of the local community, and the bourbon industry, as well. “Having someone like Steve Nally (Master Distiller and Bourbon Hall of Fame with more than 40 years of experience in the distilling industry) really separates us from the competition,” said Mark Bangert, State Manager CO/WY at The Bardstown Bourbon Company. “His name is familiar not only in the industry but in the West as someone who creates products that stand out.”

These products speak for themselves and Bangert is confident that those that try their different styles will be hooked. “We call it liquid to lips,” said Bangert. “We know that if we get the product to the consumer’s lips and they have the opportunity to sample it and think back to all of the bourbons they have enjoyed in their life, then they’re going to like ours. Typically that is what happens.”

Bardstown Bourbon can be found at most liquor stores in the metro area and over 400 in the state of Colorado. For more information, visit www.bardstownbourbon.com.
