Experienced: Bart Allen joined Benchmark Commercial in 2013 with extensive experience in real estate and office occupiers.
Tanner and Jeff Mason founded Benchmark Commercial in 2013 with a singular notion in mind — commercial realtors could not only do better; they could actually be better. And in doing so, not only would the customer experience improve, businesses would prosper, and the entire community would benefit.
Bart Allen joined Benchmark Commercial in 2023. Bart Allen brings valuable sales, business analytics, and transaction management experience to his role as a broker associate with Benchmark Commercial Real Estate. Driven by a passion for spurring growth on the local level, he leverages his strong market insight to create personalized solutions for clients and foster lasting relationships.
Prior to joining Benchmark, Allen was an Associate Broker at Tributary Real Estate focusing on representing office occupiers around the Denver metro area. Prior to Tributary Bart honed his skills by serving in transaction management and analyst roles at both JLL and CBRE. He also gained experience in capital sourcing and analytics as part of the team at DePaul Real Estate Advisors, where he responsible for performing cash flow analyses and underwriting transactions for acquisitions and dispositions of new property.
Allen joined the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce because he was doing a handful of businesses along Colorado Boulevard and specifically in Glendale. He was helping groups renew their lease or move to other parts of town. “I thought it would be good to join the chamber to immerse myself in the community and what it has to offer,” said Bart Allen, Senior Associate for Benchmark Commercial. “It was long overdue.”
Benchmark Commercial has moved or renewed 10 tenants in the Glendale market in the last 24 months. It is fair to say they have intricate knowledge and are strong advocates for their clients doing business in and around the Glendale area.
For most companies, real estate is the second largest cost behind personnel. This is why Benchmark Commercial places such importance on listening and understanding their clients’ goals and helping them plan for the future. They take a look at how your space will grow with your needs, what kinds of build-out and features your company may need, and what your budget looks like for real estate. All of this information must be gathered, thoughtfully planned out, and incorporated into your bottom line.
Once they understand your company’s needs and goals, they analyze what is available in the market and match your needs to a handful of well-suited options.
Benchmark Commercial are your advocates. They understand the current market landscape and rates, as well as how and what landlords are willing to negotiate, given the current market. They are here to protect your bottom line and fulfill your needs while securing the best possible lease terms for your company. “We give our clients a fair fight when they negotiate against their ownership groups,” said Allen. “They may renew their lease, move, buy a business to grow simultaneously, or if they are getting toward the end of their career and they need to dispose of the real estate. Those are the main food groups that we plan.”
With a passion for philanthropy and community building, Allen is on the leadership team for Denver Rescue Mission Young Professionals (DRM YP), a non-profit organization serving Denver’s most vulnerable people since 1892. He has served as a buddy mentor for Big Brothers Big Sisters since 2019 and is a past board member of both Society of Orphaned Armenian Relief (SOAR) and Mile High Young Professionals.
Allen received a master’s degree in real estate and the built environment from the University of Denver, where he was both a graduate student ambassador and the director of communications for the real estate and construction management club. He also attended the University of Arizona, where he received a bachelor’s degree in business administration.
In his spare time, Bart enjoys traveling, water skiing, and scuba diving.
