Young Professional: Amelia Warriner, known as Meel, has been instrumental at engaging young professionals in the area and helping the Chamber grow its membership. Her business, Meel’s Mountain Massage, is closing in on their one-year anniversary. They were a sponsor at the Annual Chamber Luncheon held on January 22, 2019 at Infinity Park Event Center.

Amelia Warriner, affectionately called Meel, has jumped into her business and her involvement with the Chamber with both feet. She started her message business, Meel’s Mountain Massage in March 2018 and persevered through some struggles the first six months to come out on the other end with a solid client base and good referrals. She jokingly says, “I find your problems and I stick my thumb in it.”

Warriner has helped engage the young professionals in the Glendale and Denver area and found the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce the best fit to help launch a new program. She has enjoyed getting young professionals to engage in more meaningful networking events rather than just hanging out in a bar and feeling what Warriner calls “aimless.”

Warriner grew up in North Florida, Panama City, and moved to Denver in 2015 after graduating from the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in general health. She worked at Denver Health until she realized that wasn’t for her. “I wanted something different that can make a difference in someone’s life withi

n a few treatments,” said Warriner. “Once I decided to start looking into massage and alternative medicine I knew I was on the correct path.”

She graduated from the Berkana Institute of Massage Therapy in June 2016, received her license in August 2016, and has been practicing ever since. The modalities in her practice include Swedish, deep tissue, prenatal, neuromuscular therapy, and Thai massage.

The art of massage and alternative medicine has been around for thousands of years. It has proven time and time again to be a successful form of therapy and the physiological science behind the art is intriguing.

“I love the idea of manipulating the body in a way that repairs and restructures patients in a naturally holistic manner,” said Warriner. “I want patients that look forward to sessions with me rather than dreading a hospital environment where money and pharmaceuticals are at the center of treatment. I want my patients to feel loved and like they are taking control of their bodies and their healthcare. Western medicine has lost that feeling of control. I feel that massage and homeopathy are answers to a medical revolution our country desperately needs and I am excited and blessed to be able to become a part of this evolving system.”

Warriner offers massages from 30 minutes to two hours and her prices range from $45 to $150. Meel’s Mountain Massage is located inside Bitfactory Gallery on Santa Fe between 8th and 9th Ave. on the west side. The address is 851 Santa Fe Drive, Unit 106, Denver, CO 80204.
