The Colorado hills are alive with Central City Opera’s presentation of The Sound of Music. This crowd favorite opens August 2nd at Denver’s Ellie Caulkins Opera House with performances through August 10th.
Recently, Central City Opera previewed The Sound of Music with a beer and yodel fest at Four Mile Historic Park. Beer, brats, dancing, and yodeling were just a few of the favorite things enjoyed by attendees in celebration of one of the most beloved musicals of all time.
Central City Opera’s Associate Director of Marketing, Heather Brecl emphasizes, “This is not an opera version of the classic production.” This is the real deal with all the songs you know and love.
Brecl says her roles as a Chamber Ambassador and Associate Director of Marketing go hand in hand. “For a non-profit like Central City Opera,” she explains, “it’s really important to have strong connections to the community.” She especially loves the energy and fun spirit of her fellow chamber members.
The Central City Opera production of The Sound of Music is not to be missed. As Glendale chamber members you can even get a discount on tickets! Use the code GLEN to save 25% on any performance of The Sound of Music (based on availability).
