As you declutter your closets and home this spring, consider donating items to a good cause in the neighborhood. Assistance League of Denver’s Thrift Shop at 6265 E. Evans Ave provides funds for philanthropic programs serving local school children, families, and seniors in need.

Donating gently used clothing, accessories, household items, and books to Assistance League of Denver’s Thrift Shop is also a great way to be green and sustainable this month in honor of Earth Day. The best items find new homes through the Thrift Shop; and unsalable items are shared with additional community organizations benefiting the homeless, new immigrants, and others in need to ensure that all donations are put to good use.

Assistance League of Denver’s Thrift Shop is open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., but because the Thrift Shop is run entirely by volunteers, donations are only accepted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the back of the building to make sure enough staffing is available to process items.
