Mash Gang, The NA Beer Company Dazzles Members

Innovator: Jordan Childs serves as Head Brewer & CPO for Mash Gang. He is a pioneering brewer transforming the non‑alcohol scene.

NA Beers: Journey Juice, a spicy mango IPA with lime and chili kick, and Glug, a refreshing lager with white‑grape and gooseberry notes, are two beers offered by Mash Gang in the Denver market.
Mash Gang is a UK-founded brewery that launched in 2020 by a group of four friends who wanted to pioneer top-tier non-alcoholic beers. They’ve become known for bold, experimental brews — spanning styles from hazy IPAs and fruited ales to rich stouts — all under the legal limit of 0.5% ABV.
Jordan Childs, co-founder of Mash Gang, admits he and his friends from school started Mash Gang out of boredom and being in isolation during the COVID pandemic. Within six months, they had their first draft beer on tap in the first bar. “There are so many quality breweries in the U.K., U.S., and across the globe,” said Childs. “There were plenty of good NA beers but nothing that I was interested in. There were no pastry stouts, heavy fruit sours, and all the fun things you find in craft beer specifically in the U.S. You guys take for granted on how good your beer is over here.”
Mash Gang is now redefining the non-alcoholic beer scene with creative, full-flavored beers that rival alcoholic craft. Flavors range from juicy and hop-forward to rich an
d dessert-like, with standout releases like Chug and Journey Juice. Journey Juice is a fruited IPA with mango, lime, and chili, while Chug is their most popular beer, a hazy IPA featuring Citra and El Dorado hops.
NA beer is catching on more and more these days. 44% of Americans are cutting back and NA beer sales are up 29% year-over-year. “The honest answer is we just got lucky,” said Childs. “It was a little business and it grew very quickly. We never anticipated the growth we have had.”
It was most likely a little more than luck as Childs serves as Head Brewer & CPO for Mash Gang and has been nominated twice for UK Brewer of the Year. He also has a keen awareness of the craft beer scene in Denver. Mash

Samples For All: The ladies from the Noelle Talent Group handed out samples of Mash Gang beer at the latest Chamber Business After Hours on June 10.
Gang launched in Colorado in late 2024, with Denver as the entry point due to its discerning craft-beer culture.
The culture of the Glendale Chamber also attracted Childs as he attended the June 10 Business After Hours event. He said he had a suit in the car and was ready to change but quickly realized he didn’t need to as people welcomed him to the event while Van Halen played in the background.
Mash Gang recently gave away 30,000 cans across Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs, and more (June 9–15), culminating in a giant 2,500‑gallon beer pool and foam party at RiNo’s Improper City.
There is a limited quantity of Mash Gang beers available for free pickup from JPAD Liquors at 560 South Holly Street for chamber members. Stop in today to pick up your free four pack. For more information about Mash Gang, visit www.mashgang.com.
