Consumer analytics platform CivicScience shared findings from a poll that asked over 7,000 consumers about their preferred fast-food fries. McDonald’s came out on top.
One would be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t know of or hasn’t eaten at a McDonald’s. But, often we don’t think of all that goes into making it one of the most well-known restaurants in the world.
Quality Ingredients & Local Sourcing
McDonald’s restaurants in Colorado pride themselves on serving high-quality, fresh meals made with real ingredients. Menu items like the 100% real beef patties are simply seasoned with salt and pepper, while the classic Egg McMuffin is made with a freshly cracked, cage-free egg. The Filet-O-Fish features 100% whitefish sourced from sustainably managed fisheries, and Chicken McNuggets are made with white meat chicken.
Even the buns served at Colorado McDonald’s restaurants are made fresh locally in Denver and delivered to restaurants weekly.
Value & Promotions
Colorado McDonald’s restaurants are focused on providing value for local families. Currently, during Rockies baseball season, fans can score a Free Double Cheeseburger with a $2 purchase whenever the Rockies hit a double.
Locally Owned & Operated
There are about 45 local McDonald’s Owner/Operators in the Rocky Mountain region — all small business owners who live and work in the communities they serve. Collectively, they employ about 11,600 restaurant crew members and managers across Colorado.
McDonald’s local economic impact is significant — restaurants in Colorado spend over $35 million annually on local suppliers for services, marketing, and food packaging. They also purchase approximately $45 million in locally sourced ingredients, including more than 25 million pounds of beef each year.
Employee Benefits & Education
McDonald’s provides employees with access to Archways to Opportunity, a program that helps restaurant crew members earn a high school diploma, take ESL classes, receive tuition assistance, and access career counseling.
Since the program’s launch in Colorado more than seven years ago, over $590,000 in tuition assistance has been awarded to more than 225 local employees.
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC)
Supporting RMHC remains a cornerstone of McDonald’s community involvement. Through in-restaurant donations, Round-Up campaigns, and other initiatives, Colorado McDonald’s restaurants raise more than $780,000 annually — helping provide thousands of overnight stays for families with children receiving medical care.
