Fun Business: Jeannette Simmons, left, and Stacey Bennett left the corporate world behind and bought the existing pet boutique and have maintained their loyal following. Kendall Bennett will be a fully trained member of the staff but he must first learn how to walk.

Two Pals and a Pup has been in the Denver community for 13 years. The mother-daughter duo of Jeanette Simmons and Stacey Bennett bought the name and the business in June 2022 after working in the corporate world for years. Why a pet store? “I am very lucky to have such a close relationship with my family and it sounded fun,” said Stacey Bennett, co-owner of Two Pups and a Pal. “My mom and I came from the corporate world and it wasn’t fun. Everyone that comes into the store is really happy and everyone in the community has been so great. We have a lot of repeat customers.”

The boutique dog store industry allowed this dog-loving family team to continue providing the premium-quality canine nutrition and products on which the Cherry Creek North neighborhood has come to rely. Bennett does a lot of research on what products are healthy and good for dogs and it is important to them to support local sustainability and minority and women owned businesses.

Two Pals and a Pup is where you go to find quality products and services in a welcoming, neighborhood environment. “The previous owner had a very loyal following, and we wanted to maintain that loyalty,” said Bennett.

They strive to treat your pets with the same love and care that they give their own. Assisted by a fully-trained staff of animal lovers, they can be trusted to provide sound advice when it comes to correctly outfitting your pups in style and comfort. “I always grew up with dogs as a kid,” said Bennett.

Family Owned: Jeannette Simmons, left, Stacey Bennett, and Kendall Bennett (future CEO) have been the proud owners of Two Pals and a Pup since June 2022.

“When I was little, I wanted to be a marine biologist and always wanted to do something with animals.”

Dog Bakery

One of the most popular parts of this pet boutique is the dog bakery. They provide dogs with all the nurturing and healthy sustenance they can through premium dog bakery offerings like their featured and licensed homemade treats. These include the popular Tummy Yummy Birthday Cakes. “I make the dog birthday cakes myself,” said Bennett. “They are small tummy yummy bones and dogs go crazy over them. We use only fresh, organic ingredients, and while they are meant for your pup, they’re safe enough for you, too.”

“This is the cutest little bakery and pet store,” said Rylie P. “We went in to get some birthday treats/toys and the woman working the counter was so sweet. She even gave us the hotdog biscuit treat for free for our boy’s birthday! Prices are good too. Will be coming back here in the future.”

Food

It is important to know where the ingredients in the canine cuisine comes from and how they are processed. Just like it is healthy for humans to eat wholesome, simple foods, you want to know what your dogs are eating as well.

“I have two dogs and a new puppy with tummy issues,” said Haylee F.. The owner has been so helpful in her recommendations and patient in all of
