If you need urgent care but not a hospital, Doctors Express is what you’re looking for and as of this month there is a new location on Colorado Boulevard.
Founded in Baltimore in 2005 by an emergency room physician seeking a more efficient, affordable and personable system for urgent care patients, Doctors Express is a walk-in medical center with facilities across the country. As America’s first nationally-branded urgent care centers, Doctors Express facilities have physicians on staff, provide state-of-the-art treatment for acute illness, trauma and sports injuries (including minor surgical procedures) and have on-site laboratory and digital x-ray service. Pre-employment physicals, drug screening and treatment of work related injuries are also available to local employers.
“We are very excited that our Colorado Boulevard facility is up and running,” said Director of Business Development Marie Cramer. “We want everyone to come in and check out our new location and see what we’re all about.”
According to Cramer, Doctors Express differs from other medical centers by offering a consistent, broad range of treatment and services on the spot. Experienced physicians will diagnose and treat illnesses, dispense medication and have the capabilities to x-ray and set broken bones, all under one roof and the average wait time to see a physician is only 15 to 20 minutes. Each location is locally owned and operated and use medical staff that is part of the community.
Doctors Express Cherry Creek is owned by a husband and wife partnership, Darius and Sheida Kerman, who are joined by local, highly-credentialed physician Dr. Mark Siemer. Dr. Siemer will serve as Medical Director which means he will treat patients and oversee all of the day-to-day medical operations.
“Dr. Siemer has been a resident of Colorado for more than 20 years and is active in his local community and schools,” Cramer said. “He is Board Certified and will deliver affordable, efficient, non-emergency treatment to almost anyone who walks in.”

Currently, there are 37 Doctors Express centers up and running throughout the country. A total of 113 franchises have been awarded in 23 states and 56 will be operating by the end of the year. The long-term goal is to have 1,000 Doctors Express centers across the nation so that a recognizable, reliable healthcare option is available wherever you travel in the United States.
Cramer said that Doctors Express is looking forward to having Glendale Chamber members visit their facility throughout March. “The Chamber is a very close group and they do a lot within the community and we are glad to part of that,” she explained. “We are the new kids on the block and want to meet business owners in the community so please come in for a tour of the facility.”
